Notice of Motion
from the GREEN Group
This Council resolves to:
- Note the results of the UK Youth
Parliament’s ‘Make Your Mark’ ballot, which
highlights in particular young people’s concerns about health
and wellbeing, jobs, money, homes and opportunities, education and
learning and the environment as high priority
concerns
- Congratulate Brighton &
Hove Youth Council school staff and organisations who support young
people on increasing engagement this year and raising the concerns
and voices of young people across our city
- Request a report to Children, Young People & Skills Committee in November, once a full breakdown of local results are known which:
- Details action being taken on the local priority issues highlighted by young people and further steps that directorates across the council are taking on them
- Highlights discussions held at the ‘Youth Manifesto’ event at Brighton Youth Centre at the end of March
- Gives an update on the work to enhance youth voice at the council
